Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation

I’m sure you’ve heard of the many wonders of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation, but have you tried it? I finally got my hands on this highly proclaimed foundation, and plenty to say about it.

The Amazonian Clay Foundation comes in a 1.7oz. squeeze tube with a beautiful wooden cap. This oil free liquid foundation is said to give full coverage lasting 12 hours. It contains an SPF of 15 protecting skin from harmful UVA/UVB sun rays.

This foundation is cruelty free, vegan friendly, and comes in 25 shades.

I use the shade Medium Neutral. This shade is great for medium skin with yellow and pink undertones.

Pros: Blends well. Medium to buildable coverage. Great shade selection. Decent ingredients.

Cons: Doesn’t last 12 hours. Doesn’t cover major blemishes. May cling to dry patches. $39.

Recommendations: To apply, I recommend using your fingers to warm up the foundation into the skin. Then, use a beauty sponge to blend.

I don’t think I will repurchase the Amazonian Clay Foundation because I have tried many other full coverage foundations that work just as well. I hope this was helpful, and thanks for stopping by!

Continue to Glow 🙂

  1. I have to say that I do agree with you on the cons. I was not impressed with it at all. It did great for covering the redness but you could see all of the texture and blemishes. Definitely accentuated my pores too! Happy I wasnt the only one who didn’t find this foundation that amazing
